We at Beltway Animal Hospital are proud to offer professional grooming services 6 days a week through our full time groomers. Our groomers have a combined experience of over 30 years and are happy to provide full grooming treatments for dogs and cats of all breeds.
Our number one priority is making sure your pet leaves our grooming salon happy, healthy and looking their best. It is our goal to make your pets grooming experience a calm one, caring for them in a way to reduce stress and anxiety. We spend the time necessary with each pet to ensure they receive one on one attention and they have a safe and enjoyable spa day!
Regular grooming is more than cosmetic. It is an important part of pet care that can improve your pet’s skin, coat and quality of life. Our groomers are trained to notice abnormalities in your pet such as ear infections, skin irritations and abnormal growths. Regular nail trimming is important for the health of your pet’s feet and joints. Ears should be cleaned and have the hair removed to help prevent ear infections. Coats should be cleaned and thoroughly brushed to prevent mats which can cause skin irritations and infections.
Because we are an animal hospital, we can combine grooming with almost any veterinary service your pet may need, including vaccinations, heartworm testing, refills on medications and examinations. Just let us know when you call if your pet needs any veterinary services while here. You can also rest assured that should any medical emergency arise while your pet is with us, he or she will have immediate access to professional veterinary staff.
To keep all of our grooming dogs and cats as healthy as possible, we require all pets to be current on vaccinations including rabies and distemper, along with other species specific vaccinations. If your pet has been vaccinated at another facility, we will require a copy of the vaccination records prior to grooming.
SERVICES
Bath and Brush Out
Pets that do not require a haircut will receive a massaging bath, conditioning and blow dry. After each pet has been dried, he groomer will trim the nails and clean the ears. The groomer will complete your pampered pets grooming with a thorough brush out, a spritz of cologne and a bandana.
Specialty Haircut
Our groomers are trained to give breed specific professional quality haircut to all breeds of dogs and cats. If you would like something a little different, they are able to do any style haircut requested. All haircut also receive a thorough bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, cologne and a bandana or bows.
Shed-Less Treatment
Our groomers can provide your shedding dog with a shed-less treatment which will help to reduce the amount of fur you see in your house and in your car by up to 90%.
Medicated and Oatmeal Baths
Being an animal hospital, we have access to a wide variety of specialty medicated shampoos for every skin type. Our groomers are trained to recognize skin conditions and can bathe your pet with the proper shampoo to help bring relief to your pet’s itchy or irritated skin. We also provide oatmeal, aloe and coconut shampoos and conditioners for pets that are sensitive to regular detergent shampoos.
Nail Filing
All baths and haircuts include a nail trimming, but nail filing takes away that sharp, just cut edge and makes your dog’s nails smooth and round. No more scratches when your dog excitedly jumps up to see you!
Walk-In Services
If all your pet needs is a quick nail trim or filing, ear cleaning or plucking, face, feet or sanitary trim, we offer walk-in appointments for these services. You can wait for your pet in our lobby and they will be brought back to you in just a few minutes.
Teeth Brushing
All pets benefit from regular oral care. In addition to oral care received at home, our groomers can brush your pet’s teeth with a toothpaste made specifically for dogs or cats to help maintain proper oral health. Our groomers can let you know if a professional dental treatment is needed by a veterinarian and explain to you the importance of professional dental cleanings.
Flea Prevention
If your pet has fleas, we can help! Our groomers can give your pet a high quality flea bath to remove any fleas that are on your pet. It is best to follow up with a topical or oral monthly flea preventative that can be purchased here. Our groomers and staff are knowledgeable in flea prevention and will be happy to help you understand the best way to prevent and treat them.
We provide grooming as both a stand-alone service and along with boarding and veterinary services. If you would like your pet groomed and pampered before going home from boarding with us, please let us know and we can schedule an appointment.
