Jacksonville veterinary services – delivered with courtesy and respect!
When you enter the door, you should be greeted by one of our receptionists. If it is your first visit to our hospital, you will be asked to fill out the new client paperwork. If you have been here before we will update your information and your pet will be checked in for his/her visit.
A veterinary technician will call you and your pet into an exam room and will collect a history from you about your pet and address your concerns. He/she will take your pet to the treatment area for a weight, vitals, and to collect any necessary samples and then your pet will be returned to you.
The veterinarian will then come into the exam room and do a head to tail examination on your pet. It is important that the veterinarian do a complete physical examination to catch any other potential health problems your pet may have. After the examination, the veterinarian will discuss with you her findings and potential treatments or other diagnostics needed. The veterinarian will discuss recommendations for future visits and answer any of your questions or concerns.
After the examination is completed, the technician will fill any medications prescribed by the veterinarian; then the technician will review the medications with you. After the veterinarian and technicians have completed the care needed for your pet, the technician will guide you to the receptionist to check out.
There are occasions that you will receive a phone call from either a veterinary technician or the veterinarian to check on your pet’s recovery or to review any pending diagnostic test results and make further recommendations if needed for your pet’s care.
